CALGARY, AB – Avenue magazine’s 13^th annual Top 40 Under 40 is in its final week to nominate candidates worthy of such esteemed recognition. Top 40 Under 40 celebrates the city’s best and brightest leaders by recognizing those who inspire Calgarians with their passion and achievements. In the past, those who made the list included entrepreneurs, athletes, politicians, teachers and artists – all whose work has enhanced the city. Full results will be published in the November 2011 issue of Avenue, and the Top 40 will be celebrated at an annual awards event to be held in late October 2011.

Online nominations have been open since February 1, 2011 and close April 30, 2011. Once all nominations are received Avenue editors will create a short list from hundreds of submissions for the judging panel. The panel – consisting of community leaders, Top 40 alumni, and the Avenue publisher and editor – will then choose the Top 40.
