Avenue Magazine presents: AVENUE LIVE WITH DAVE KELLY
 
Calgary (AB), Sept 2, 2010 – Imagine: a live talk show with interesting people and unlimited beer. Dave Kelly, formerly of Citytv’s Breakfast Television, is set to take the reigns of a new talk show presented by Avenue Magazine. Set in the historic Garry Theatre, Avenue Live with Dave Kelly will take Kelly’s well-known hosting skills to a live audience and throw some music, entertainment, and a few pints into the mix. From politicians and celebrities, to business leaders, artists and regular citizens, Dave will sit down with people from all walks of life to find out what makes them tick. Then the whole thing will be filmed and presented online for everyone to enjoy. Smart, funny, unpredictable and compelling – it’s an event that you don’t want to miss.

As a television host, actor, interviewer and teacher, Dave Kelly has been in front of an audience almost every day for the past 20 years. As a TV host, Dave has interviewed over 20,000 guests, from kids to celebrities to presidents - and everyone in between. Nominated four times, Dave twice won the "Best Television Host" AMPIA (Alberta Motion Picture Industry Association) award for his work on Citytv's Breakfast Television.

As a host of live events, Dave has gained a reputation for bringing out the best and most compelling conversations with people as varied as Murray Edwards, one of TIME Canada's Canadian Leaders of the 21st Century, Ron Joyce, Co-Founder of Tim Horton's, and former President of Pakistan, Pervez Musharraf.

A joint venture between Avenue Magazine and Kelly Brothers Productions, Avenue Live with Dave Kelly will take place once a month at the Ironwood Stage and Grill, beginning Thursday, September 30th at 7 p.m.
